Filing a Complaint

Texans deserve reliable service, safe care, and reasonable prices. However, too often consumers fall prey to bad actors. By filing a complaint with the appropriate agency, Texas consumers can alert officials to potential problems in their industry.

Government agencies are not equipped to resolve individual disputes – that’s what our courts are for. However, complaints help state agencies take the appropriate steps to protect the public by highlighting patterns of abuse. So, if you believe a business or service provider is taking advantage of you, file a complaint with the state agency tasked with overseeing that industry or profession. If you need an attorney to help resolve a dispute, contact the State Bar’s toll free Lawyer Referral Hotline at 1-800-252-9690.
