HB 4 concerns immigration; however, SECTION 3 of the bill includes dangerous legal immunity provisions for state officials, employees, and even contractors who are enforcing our laws. Full accountability under the law leads to safety. We are concerned that distorting our law by creating liability loopholes may lead to harm or even the loss of life in our state. Care must be exercised when enforcing our laws, and life must be protected.
