Texas Watch joins safety organizations in telling Congress no #forcedarbitration with self-driving cars
Congress is taking back up the SELF DRIVE Act, concerning autonomous vehicles (AVs), better known as self-driving cars. Texas Watch joined over a dozen other safety groups in telling Congress #forcedarbitration clauses should not be allowed with this new technology. If owners, passengers, or pedestrians have a problem with an AV, they should have the constitutional right to take their dispute before a jury of their peers in open court where the rules and law have full effect.
